Speaking
A fresh perspective on emotional resilience
Talks that help people find calm, clarity, and resilience
I speak to organisations, leaders, and communities about how to work with difficult emotions in a practical, grounded, and compassionate way.
Why I speak
I shouldn’t really be here.
At 24, Lyme disease left me bedbound for years. I lost my career, my identity, and the life I thought I would have.
Everything changed when I began to approach my feelings differently. Rather than remain stuck in a state of emotional hijack I learnt how to dissolve even the most difficult emotions.
This insight eventually became the foundation of my work as a hypnotherapist, mindfulness teacher, and now the author of FREED: 5 Steps to Let Go of Negative Feelings.
I speak because I’ve lived what I teach. I want people to know it is possible to shift painful feelings quickly — and that when those feelings release, they reveal something extraordinary:
Your deepest insight.
Your clarity.
Your way forward.
Talk Topics
-
After becoming bedbound with Lyme disease in my twenties, I lost my health, my identity, and the life I thought I had planned. What looked like a collapse became the beginning of an unexpected transformation.
In this talk, I share the key emotional principles that helped me rebuild my life — not by pushing harder, but by learning how to work with my emotions, not against them.
Audiences leave with practical tools for navigating uncertainty, overwhelm, and emotional challenge with clarity, compassion, and steadiness.
-
Overwhelm is now one of the most common barriers to productivity and effective communication in modern workplaces. When people operate from stress physiology, performance decreases, reactivity increases, and problem-solving becomes harder.
This talk introduces practical, evidence-informed emotional regulation tools that help individuals shift out of overwhelm and into clear, regulated thinking. Participants leave with simple, actionable strategies they can use in real time — during meetings, deadlines, pressure, or conflict — to stay calm, focused, and effective.
-
Overwhelm doesn’t just affect how we feel — it changes how we think. When the nervous system is dysregulated, clarity disappears, decision-making becomes harder, and even small tasks can feel impossible.
In this talk, Kate explores the emotional and neurological mechanics of overwhelm and shares simple, practical tools for returning to regulation — calmly, quickly, and without force.
Participants learn how to shift from reactive, stress-driven thinking into grounded, regulated thinking so they can navigate challenges with more confidence, clarity, and emotional steadiness.
-
Resilience isn’t about pushing harder or pretending everything is fine. True resilience is the ability to stay grounded, connected, and resourced — even when life feels demanding or uncertain.
In this talk, Kate shares a fresh approach to resilience that goes beyond endurance or willpower. Drawing from lived experience, therapeutic practice, and emotional regulation principles, she explores how we can meet stress and challenge without disconnecting from our wellbeing.
Audiences leave with practical tools to support emotional steadiness, prevent burnout, and recover more quickly from difficult moments — not by overriding their needs, but by listening to them.

She grabbed their attention from the start. She is an energised and clearly experienced speaker who was able to connect easily with this mixed audience. Her sense of humour came through which balanced so well with the content. The feedback was very positive.
