Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength
— Barack Obama

There may be some situations that just feel too uncomfortable for you to work through alone. This is when it may be helpful to seek support from a qualified therapist:

There are a number of different options when it comes to seeking support. If you need urgent help you can get help from NHS 111 online or NHS 111. NHS talking therapies are services available to people in England aged 18 or over. You can speak to your GP about talking therapies or get in touch with these services directly without going to your GP.

Outside of the NHS there are a number of organisations who can help. Mind offer good advice as to the range of therapeutic services available in the UK: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/drugs-and-treatments/talking-therapy-and-counselling/how-to-find-a-therapist/

The Mental Health Foundation also can help signpost you to a suitable service: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/explore-mental-health/get-help
