About Kate

I fell into this work by accident. I had absolutely no intention of working in mental health. I was an environmental researcher when my life took a u-turn and I became severely incapacitated with Lyme disease. For over 5 years I was unable to walk, talk, read or write. Life looked hopeless. Not only was I physically incapacitated but the neurological symptoms were so severe that I couldn’t watch TV or even listen to music. The result was that I had little distraction from my thoughts. The only solace I found during this time was meditation. It helped me manage the fear and anxiety my circumstances caused.

However thanks to a miraculous turn of events I finally received the right antibiotics and made a somewhat unexpected full recovery. Keen to pay it forward I retrained as a wellness coach. Over the course of a decade I qualified as a Mindfulness Teacher, NLP Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist and ILM-7 Executive Coach. I now use this blend of skills to coach teams and individuals in how to foster mindful awareness. From my own experience I learnt that with the right tools you can find inner resilience to ride out even the most challenging circumstances.
